What is the worth of famous buildings?

If you are wondering how much famous buildings are worth, these are the prices: a statue of liberty is cheaper than a flat in New York.

On the other hand, the monument to Christ in Rio de Janeiro would be more expensive to build today, when it would cost a million dollars more than in 1931, when it was built.

"HomeAdvisor" analyzed seven well-known buildings around the world, taking into account work and material costs, to calculate how much their construction would cost in modern times.

Also, the original costs were taken, which show that some materials were much more expensive a hundred years ago, but that the other materials are much cheaper than today.

Thus, for example, the construction of the Statue of Liberty cost ten times more in 1886 than today, and Big Ben today building cost would be almost twice as low.

On the other hand, the monument to Christ in Rio de Janeiro would be much more expensive to build today, when it cost a million dollars more than in 1931, when it was built. However, some of the estimated costs are actually surprisingly cheap - the construction of the Statue of Liberty or Big Ben would be cheaper today than buying apartments in Manhattan.

This is a list of famous constructions and their estimated values in US dollars, ranged from the most expensive to the cheapest:

1. Pyramids of Giza - $ 878 million

2. The Colosseum - $ 380 million

3. Eiffel Tower - $ 31 million

4. The Tower of Pisa - $ 4 million

5. Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro - $ 1.5 million

6. Statue of Liberty - $ 1.3 million

7. Big Ben - $ 222,000
