USS Zumwalt - the future of the Navy

USS Zumwalt
The new destroyer is the pinnacle of technology and an indication of the future navies.

"DDG-1000 class will, although 40% bigger than the Arleigh Burke, have a radar reflection of a small fishing boat, a sound reflection would be at the level of modern American submarines Virginia class"

For a little less than a year, namely in March 2015 in the arms of the United States Navy will enter a new "stealth" destroyer - USS Zumwalt. This futuristic destroyer long as two Statue of Liberty but barely showing on the radar, equipped with cutting-edge facilities and weaponry, and claims a smaller crew than its predecessor Arleigh Burke class, and lower maintenance costs. However, the cost of developing even 9.6 billion dollars, which led to that instead of the planned construction of 32 vessels built only three (Zummwalt, Michael A. Monsoor and Lyndon B. Johnson)!

DDG-1000 class will, although 40% bigger than the Arleigh Burke, have a radar reflection of a small fishing boat, a sound reflection would be at the level of modern American submarines Virginia class. In addition to the advanced artillery systems from 155 mm armament will include 20 VLS mold, and 80 launching tubes from which to the enemy could take off Tomahawk, Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles and ASROC missiles to destroy submarines.
